I am taking a moment out here to say both how humbling and heartbreaking it is to be on the receiving end of so many positive responses to my articles. It is humbling because I never dreamed for one moment that they would touch a chord with so many people. It is heartbreaking because there is one word that resounds through so many responses...that word is 'accurate'. My son is now sixteen years old and yet all the systemic, bureaucratic and professional problems that we encountered for so long in his earlier years are obviously still all happening to so many other people, things are not changing and they absolutely must. Both we and our children deserve so much better. If my outspoken articles contribute in even the smallest degree to effecting that change then it makes all the late night scribbling worthwhile.

So, I'll stock up on espresso and that expensive Clarins stuff that's supposed to tighten up  bags under eyes and I'll keep scribbling........you keep reading and speak up wherever  and whenever you can. It's so easy for powers-that-be to make individual parents feel that it is only they who are the 'problem'. Your responses make it very clear we are not.....they are. So remember comrades...............
